Founded on Ingenuity

Generant began in the early 1930s when Albert Simon, an engineer and entrepreneur, introduced a line of needle valves, filters, lubricators, and pressure regulators. Holding the original patent on the Air Pressure Regulator, Generant quickly became a trusted name in industrial fluid control.

Strategic Growth & Integration

In the late 1960s and early 70s, under new ownership by Paul Buren, Generant expanded by acquiring key suppliers and consolidating operations in Butler, NJ. This strategic move laid the foundation for a vertically integrated manufacturing model.

Engineering Leadership

Ben Buren, a newly minted engineer in 1984, took the helm of Generant Company. His leadership marked a shift toward innovation in valve technology, phasing out job shop operations to focus entirely on proprietary product development.
