BI-Lok Tube Fittings Assembly Instructions

    1. BI-Lok® Tube Fittings are supplied fully assembled and individually bagged, allowing for clean and efficient installation. If the fitting is disassembled, re-assemble the components in order as shown in Figure 1.Prior to the installation, make sure the tubing is cut squarely and free from OD and ID burrs.

    2. Insert the tube into the fitting body until it bottoms out against the tube stop shoulder.

  1. With fingers, rotate the nut as far as possible until it stops. This is referred to as the “Finger Tight Position” (FTP). Mark the nut and fitting body as indicated.

  2. Secure the fitting body with a wrench and tighten the nut with another wrench an additional 3/4 of a turn for tube sizes 1/16″ thru 3/16″ or for sizes 1/4″ and above 1-1/4 turns.

    Port Connector

    • 4a. Installation Instructions – Tube Stub (DHA, DHC, DRE, DSE)
      Insert the tube stub into the BI-Lok tube fitting. Mark the nut as depicted in Figure 3 and turn 1-1/4 turn past finger tight position (FTP)
    • 4b. Installation Instructions – Machined Ferrule End (DPC) End Plug
      Remove the nut and ferrules from one BI-Lok tube fitting end. Place the nut over the machined ferrule end of the port connector.Turn the nut onto the fitting body to the finger-tight position (FTP). Mark the nut and body as depicted in Figure 3. Secure the fitting body with a wrench and tighten the nut with another wrench an additional 1/4 of a turn.
    • 4c. Installation Instructions – Plug (DBA)
      While holding the fitting body with a wrench, tighten the plug 1/4 turn from the finger tight position (FTP).
  3. Assembly is now complete.We do not recommend measuring torque as a guideline for assembly.
